Delivery & Site Prep
What we need from you
A route the truck can use and ground that is reasonably level. That is genuinely most of it, but the detail matters.
The route
- About twelve feet of clear width, including gateposts and overhanging branches
- Firm ground — a wet lawn in March will not carry a loaded trailer
- No sharp turns in a narrow space; we need room to swing
- Tell us about slopes, ditches, septic fields and buried lines before the day
The ground
Level within about six inches across the footprint. We level on treated blocks and shim as part of the delivery, but beyond six inches you need groundwork first. See our article on foundations for what we recommend at each size.
What we do
We deliver, position, level on blocks and anchor. Smaller buildings arrive complete on a trailer; larger ones are assembled on site, usually within a day. Then we walk you round it and hand over the keys and the paperwork.
What it costs
Free within our stated radius of any lot. Beyond that, a per-mile charge quoted before you order — never added afterwards. Oversized loads occasionally need a police escort, and we will tell you if yours does.
If we cannot get in
It happens, and it is nearly always avoidable. Send us a photograph of the access and the spot when you enquire. Two minutes then saves a wasted delivery and a re-delivery charge later.
